For example, during the 2018 World Cup, FOX sports used slack to send clips from the filming crew in Russia to the studio in the United States ensuring that the information is sent in real time rather than hours after the events during the world cup happened.
*Essentially a work version of Whatsapp
Sheffield Soup
A grassroots project that was produced by amateurs and distributed via social media.
Individuals pay £5 to attend a scheduled event
They receive a bowl of soup to eat while they listen to a series of pitches
All funding generated from the door goes to the winning pitch so that the project can be developed
The founder, Pennie Raven, initially floated her ideas on Twitter to get the project started
Veronica Mars
After the series' cancellation in 2007, a script for a feature film was written by the producer of the film. After being declined by Warner Bros, the writers put the project on Kickstarter which raised $5 million of its $2 million goal being the highest funded Kickstarted film ever at one point raising $2 million in 11 hours.
Drone Run
Drone Run is a current Kickstarter project in which you can time a drone run like a fun game. It is currently 25% funded and is featured by the crowd funding service. In their design and tech projects.

Hootsuite ensures that everything posted onto one social media can also be published, at the same to time to all other, or select, social media profiles that the user also has for a monthly fee. Hootsuite informs users about the biggest social media trends and how they can take advantage of them to grow their social media status.

Mention is a tool used by businesses by online media monitoring. This means that when keyword selected by the user are mentioned on social media platforms, the user would receive an alert.
Mention has competitive analysis to see what can e done about the user's competitors.
The service can also manage the users brand by analysing how it is perceived by the public with certain keywords and phrases that are associated with the user's brand and by receiving alerts every time the user's brand is mentioned and agreggating it ensuring that the user doesn't have to go through pages and pages of their brand being mentioned,
Mention helps users post and schedule content relative to their brand.

Twitter analytics tool which allows users to search through a Twitter archive for links including shortened URLs that are sent through Twitter. Backtweets allows individuals and companies how many time a link was tweeted. From a business perspective, Backtweet allows companies to understand how users respond to their brand through the amount of times
Call of Duty WW2 Advertising Strategy
Activision targeted:
People interested in history- ensuring that details in the game would as historically accurate as possible and by releasing a documentary entitled Brothers in Arms showing all the real life locations used in the game.
Fans of previous CoD games- Activision announced the use of zombies (a popular mini game in previous Call of Duty titles) at San Diego comic con to help build hype around the new game with a market that would almost definitely buy the new title when presented with the classic feature.
18-30 Year old males- Activision targetted their main target audience by sponsoring various basketball players, wrestlers and football players including Chris Jericho, Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey and Pittsburg Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell, all of whom have a star status large enough to influence their followers whose demographic is similar to that of Call of Duty's.
The first advertisement was released 8 months ahead of the game's actual release in attempt to raise hype. Within the teaser, viewers could only see the name of the new title, the release date and a background most likely being Normandy beach. Within these 8 months, Activision purposely leaked game art, fonts and in game features to get fans of the game series to speculate about the games and to get them to talk about it.
Activision also used acor Josh Duhamel, the star of the new Transformers film that would be coming out at the same time, to help promote the film by appearing in an in-game footage that released.
